Quarta regla: Una hora perduda en un recurs coll d'ampolla és una hora que perd tot el sistema.
Els recursos coll d'ampolla es defineixen com els que repercuteixen totes les seves limitacions a tot el sistema. Si per qualsevol raó produeixen una quantitat determinada, que és diferent a la prevista, la producció final del sistema quedarà afectada en la mateixa quantitat.
Per tant, qualsevol temps perdut en aquest tipus de recurs, serà un temps perdut per tot el sistema.

Cuarta regla: Una hora perdida en un recurso cuello de botella es una hora que pierde todo el sistema.
Los recursos cuello de botella se definen como los que hacen repercutir sus limitaciones a todo el sistema. Si por cualquier causa producen una canrtidad determinada, que es diferente a la prevista, la producción final del sistema quedará afectada en la misma cantidad.
Por tanto, cualquier tiempo perdido en este tipo de recurso, será un tiempo perdido por todo el sistema.

Fourth rule: One hour lost in a bottleneck resource is one hour lost for the whole system.
The bottleneck resources are defined as those that transfer their constraints to the whole system. If for any reason they produce a quantity of product, that is different from expected quantity, the final production of the system will be affected in the same quantity.
Therefore, any time lost in this sort of resources will be a time lost for all the system.
